Obituary of Charles David Hawk

Charles David Hawk, 62 of Church Hill went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at his residence. Born in Kingsport, David had lived in Church Hill since 1999. He worked for Mason-Dixon and later was a long-haul truck driver. He enjoyed hunting and was a Christian. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Betty Stapleton Hawk. David is survived by his wife, Debbie Hawk; son, Meredith David Hawk; brother, Tony Hawk and wife Karen; brothers-in-law, Brad Bishop and wife Donna and Tony Bishop; sister-in-law, Rhonda Fain and husband Gary; 2 special nieces, Kimberly Paige Bishop and Elizabeth Kaitlyn Bishop. Also, a very special great nephew, Caiden Bentley whom he adored; his best friend, whom he loved like a brother, David Morgan and wife Carlene and many special cousins. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport. Friends may also call anytime at the residence. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Joe Hill officiating. Music will be provided by Kathy Fugate. A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens where bagpiper, Will Clark will play Amazing Grace. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12 noon to go in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Morgan, Justin Meade, Mike Steffey, Chris Fugate, Chad Tarpley, Scott Hamby, Seth Fugate and Gary Meade. Carter-Trent Funeral home, Kingsport is serving the Hawk family.
