Obituary of Martha B. Collins

MARTHA B. COLLINS Gate City- Martha B. Collins, 83, of Gate City, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday (February 11, 2014). She was a lifelong resident of Scott County. She attended the House of Prayer Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Collins; Sons, Larry E. Collins, Kenneth W. Collins; grandsons, Donald W. Collins and Ricky W. Ryans; granddaughters, Tammy R. Hicks along with several brothers and a sister. Martha B. Collins is survived by her daughter and caregiver, Patsy Ryans; a son, Don Collins; granddaughters, Teresa Brummett and husband, David D., Beverly Hicks, Tammy Smith and husband; grandsons, Billy Collins and Ronald Collins; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; special caregivers, Caitlin Ryans, Jeffery Smith, Aaron Brummett. A visitation will be held on from 1 pm to 2 pm on Monday (February 17, 2014) at Scott County Funeral Home or friends may also call anytime at the residence of the daughter, Patsy Ryans. A graveside service will follow on Monday (February 17, 2014) at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Buddy Edwards, officiating. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers. The family would like to give a special thanks to Jo Jo Hourani for the special care given to the family. Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Collins family.
