Obituary of Louis Dale Forrester

Church Hill - Louis Dale Forrester, 75 of Church Hill, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Church Hill Healthcare and Rehab. Born in Butler, TN, Louis had lived most of his life in Church Hill. He retired from Williams Machine Shop in 2005 where he had worked as a machinist. Prior to his illness, he was pastor of Mt Zion Methodist Church for 10 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Ruth Lewis Forrester. Louis is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth "Barbara" Blizzard Forrester; daughter, Karen Mullins; grandchildren, Joshua Short and wife Amanda, Nathan Short and Seth Mullins; sisters, Brenda Parsons and husband Al, Ann Smelcer and husband Johnny; brother, Harold Forrester and wife Karon; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Fred Dimond and Pastor Douglas Arrington officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Church Hill Memory Gardens with Rev. Ivan Bowen officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill is serving the Forrester family.
