Obituary of Josephine Lorrain Woodward

Josephine Lorrain Woodward (Jo), 77, of Kingsport passed away January 19, 2014 after an extended illness. She was born October 5, 1936 in Paia, Maui Hawaii and moved to San Francisco, CA in 1960, then moved to Kingsport in 1970. She was the daughter of the late Paul D. Bautista and Evangelina Rodrigues. She married Bobby G. Woodward in Honolulu, Hawaii. She loved sewing, knitting and crocheting. She was of the Protestant faith. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings, Gilbert Bautista, Joseph Bautista (twin), Ronald Bautista and Allen Chun. She is survived by her husband, Bobby G. Woodward; children, Angela A. Angin (Michael R.), Miguel Ramirez, Donald Salyer, Tracey Woodward Vellidis (George) and Walter Sanchez; very special friend, Nancy Woodward; grandchildren, Jessica, Jamie, Brittany and Bryan, Anna, Chris and Stephen, Alisha, Kendra and Joshua, Danny, Sandra and Miranda, Laura and Nikki; 9 great grandchildren; step father, Miguel P. Ramirez, Sr.; sister, Lolita J. DeMello; 11 nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 4 pm, Friday, January 24, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport with Rev. Elmer Lester officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the Woodward residence.
