Obituary of Clara Jane Williams

Clara Jane Williams Kingsport - Clara Jane Williams, 89, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord, early Saturday morning, January 18, 2014 at Holston Manor Nursing Home after a long illness. She was born and raised in Hansonville, Virginia and had lived in Kingsport most of her life. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Williams was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Williams; parents, Marshall and Martha Meade Lampkins; son, Jerry Williams and sisters, Ada White, Lois Hawkins and Elizabeth Meade. Surviving are her children, Roy L. Williams and wife, Frances, of Mount Carmel, Kyle M. Williams of Okeechobee, FL, Paul H. Williams and wife, Kathy of Kingsport and Nancy R. Miller, of Kingsport; ten grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; sister, Jean Harris, of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 pm Monday, January 20, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga St., Kingsport. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 am Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Church Hill Memory Gardens with Rev. Lennis France officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50 am. Carter-Trent Funeral Home is serving the family of Clara Williams.
