Obituary of Frank Denny Barnette

Lorain, OH - Frank Denny Barnette, 66 of Lorain, Ohio, answered Jesus' call to come on home to heaven on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at his residence. Born in Clinchport, VA, Frank had lived in Lorain since 1969. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army and retired from Ford Motor Company where he was a very dedicated Ford Motor Company employee. He loved NASCAR and was a big Carl Edwards fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mercer and Martha Owens Barnette; sisters, Margaret Baker and Venus Easton; brother, M. M. Barnette. Frank is survived by his daughter, Rita Barnette Woods and husband Carlos of Sparta, TN; sisters, Eola Barnette Rhoton of Kingsport, Bobbie Stone and husband Earnest of Vermillion, OH; brothers, Kenneth Barnette and wife Brenda of Weber City and Jackson "Bill" Bloomer and wife Chaiba of Kingsport; grandchildren, Chianne Hoke, Kyle Hinkle, Andrew Woods and Kolt Chantz Woods; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12- 2 p.m. Saturday at Scott County Funeral Home, Weber City, VA. Friends may also call anytime at the home of the brother, Kenneth Barnette. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Andy Sensabaugh officiating. Music will be provided by the Ronnie Hood Singers. A military graveside service will follow at Hollie Bloomer Cemetery in Duffield, VA with the American Legion Post #3/265 conducting the rites. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Barnette family.
