Obituary of Hannah Guy

"Gone away with a friend." Hannah Guy "Miss Hannah" Guy, 79, Gate City went to her heavenly home, December 28, 2013. Miss Hannah lived in East Carters Valley most of her life. She kept house for the Lyman Hicks family from where she retired after over 40 years of service. Hannah loved the Lord, attending church and going to Mountain Empire older citizens and the PACE program. She was very sweet and precious to all who knew her. Surviving is her caregiver, Elizabeth Finch and children, Brianna, Aimee and Sarah; very caring friends, Jim, Norma and Beverly Gibson, Bobby Weatherly and Jake Carter. There will be a graveside service at 3 pm Sunday December 29, 2013 at Walnut Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Rex McMurray officiating. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:50pm. Pallbearers will be friends. Special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Jake Pyle, MEOC, Larry Browder and all those who participated in "Project Hannah" and who helped care for Hannah over the years.
