Obituary of Blake Young

Blake Young, 16, of Kingsport passed away unexpectedly due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Thursday, October 10, 2013. Blake was a junior at Sullivan South High School. He was very active with the DECA Club and who also played on the soccer team. He especially enjoyed online gaming with his friends. He was very fond of spending time with his dogs and lived life to the fullest. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William Young, He is survived by his mother, Lisa Workman Young, of Kingsport; father, Daniel William Young, of Heath, OH; brother, Derek Channing Fisher, Johnson City, TN; maternal grandparents, Lee Roy and Virginia Workman, of Norton, VA; paternal grandmother, Ruth Young, Heath, OH The family will receive friends from 4 pm to 5 pm on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. A celebration of his life will follow at 5 pm in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Sullivan County animal shelter or the Licking County animal shelter where he spent his summer volunteering. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Young family.
