Obituary of Alvin Herbert Arnold

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. Church Hill - Alvin Herbert Arnold, beloved husband, father and brother, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 27, 2013 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Herbert was born in Church Hill where he lived his entire life. He was a child of God and was a member of Indian Ridge Baptist Church, where he served his Lord as a deacon and usher. He retired from the Blue Ridge Plant of AFG Industries, Inc. in 2005 after 35 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldridge and Lorene Simpson Arnold; a brother, Lester Clark Arnold. Herbert is survived by his wife of 45 years, Teresa Barron Arnold; his son, Jason Arnold and wife Tracy Nabors Arnold; sisters, Sherlene Musick and husband Gary and Annie Ryans Treadway and husband Randy; brothers, Garland Arnold and wife Kathy and David Arnold; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and great nephews. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2013 at Indian Ridge Baptist Church, 516 West Main Blvd, Church Hill, TN. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Ron Grimes officiating and providing the music. Burial will follow in the McPheeters Bend Cemetery.
