Obituary of Nancy K Taylor
Nancy K. Stanley Taylor, 66 of the Gate City (Yuma Community) went to be with the Lord Saturday afternoon, September 21, 2013 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Nancy was a member of Oak Glen Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry & Zelma (Kerns) Stanley; a brother, David Stanley and a son-in-law, Dewayne Owens.
Survivors include her loving husband, John E. Taylor of the home; a daughter, Michelle Owens of Church Hill; two sons, Jimmy McNew & wife Judy of Gate City and Willard (Tim) McNew & wife Laura of High Point, NC; two step sons, Brent Taylor of Gate City and Chad Taylor of Greenville; five grandchildren, Miranda Owens, Nathan McNew, Jasmine McNew, Diamond McNew and Holden Taylor; three great grandchildren, Lyfe, Ryder and Kamoni; two sisters, Jeanella Gilliam of Rye Cove, Margaret Stanley of Gray; two brothers, Carl Stanley of Indiana and Millard Stanley of Rye Cove; along with several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Scott County Funeral Home, 2060 Hwy 23N, Weber City Virginia. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 7 pm with Rev. Danny Sykes and Rev. Pete Barber, officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Church Hill Memory Gardens, Church Hill. Those attending are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 am.
