Obituary of Florence Elam Bishop

Florence Elam Bishop, 84 of Kingsport passed away on Monday, August 26, 2013 at her residence. Florence was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and a homemaker. She was a member of Bays Mountain Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kristy Kern; her parents, John Henry and Pearl Isaac Elam; 6 brothers and 5 sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Zola Mae Still of Kingsport and Sharon Elizabeth Estep of Kingsport; son, Joseph Charles Bishop of Kingsport; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Friday August 30, 2013 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport or friends may call anytime at the home. A service will be held 7 pm on Friday, August 30, 2013 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lester Morelock officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11 am Saturday at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends who wish to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50 am. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Bishop family.
