Ronnie was a couple years older but me and all the guys my age looked up to him as we grew up on Barringer Drive in Charlotte. Sad to hear about his passing but now he is reunited with his sister Shirley after all these years. My deepest sympathy to his entire family.

I was in his class at Herbert Spaugh Jr. High and he was so much fun to be in class with or just walking down the hall...You could see that golden hair coming a mile away and those freckles, which I don't think he like them but they just made Ronnie Ronnie!!!!! Knowing his love for sports and life, he will be missed deeply.... My deepest sympathies to his friends and family....

I remember Ronnie taking Shirley, his sister, and me around places because we were too young to drive. I think the small car was a 2 seated, ha. Crammed in, no seat belts, no worries. He would drop us off, and come back for us. He probably thought we were crazy. Well, we probably were. Good guy always. RIP Ronnie.

Ron was in my boot camp company 278. We were both sent to the USS Hancock CVA 19 serving aboard from 1966-70. He and Mr. Ronnie Blanchard served in V-1. I served in V-2.
The USS Hancock CV /CVA 19 Association sends it condolences and Mr. Ron Bellamy will be placed on the taps page and will be remembered at every reunion.

Shirley, I am so sorry. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.".
I love you,
Deborah, Allen and Graham Irvin
